Messy Church

We are delighted to announce that after a gap of over two years due to the Covid pandemic, the churches in Billingshurst are re-starting Messy Church from October onwards.  The even better news is that after spending the Autumn in the Jubilee Fields Pavilion, from February 2023 we will be returning to our usual time and location on the second Wednesday afternoon of each month at The Community Centre, Roman Way, Billingshurst RH14 9QW

Doors open at 3.45pm for refreshment, chatting and games. At 4pm we all get ‘messy’ making a range of things on the theme of the day. A short Worship time follows, consisting of a Bible story and a song. This is followed by a sit down meal for all to share. The session is usually over by about 5.30pm.

All are welcome, but children do need to be accompanied by a parent,

grandparent or carer. There is no fixed charge, however donations to cover costs are appreciated.

When we started Messy Church in Billingshurst in 2010 this page said, "There are over 100 Messy Churches held up and down the country all of which encourage more people to become involved in a different type of ‘Church’."  Well, the growth has been phenomenal and now there are nearly 1,500 Messy Churches registered throughout the UK and in over 30 countries!!
